Harcros’ core competency rests with ethoxylation (narrow and broad range) and propoxylation. The Organics Division is well-versed in the reaction of ethylene and propylene oxide, with a vast array of natural and synthetic feedstocks. The company has extensive experience in the production of mixed ethylene oxide/propylene oxide adducts.
These molecules are based on alcohol, alkylphenol, castor oil, triglycerides, or low molecular weight glycols–including APE-free and OMRI-certified offerings. Function ranges from emulsification and reducing surface tension (surfactants) to wetting and spreading of agricultural sprays, including soil wetting agents.

Harcros offers a full line of packaged emulsifier blends. The products are blends of anionic and nonionic surfactants, utilized in emulsifying spray oils and pesticides. These include calcium and amine sulfonates, nonionic surfactants, and crystal inhibitors. We can make these blends specific to customer requirements for performance based on HLB, particle size, and dispersion characteristics.

Harcros’ phosphate esters are produced from both alcohol and alkylphenol ethoxylates. As a trusted agrochemical supplier, we can manufacture phosphate esters to meet either high or low monoester content specifications. Phospate esters prepared with high monoester content are especially useful as fertilizer compatibility agents.
Our on-site alkoxylation plant provides an unlimited variety of specialty hydrophobes for phosphorylation—allowing for the production of customized products to meet unique needs.

Harcros produces a wide array of antifoaming and defoaming products. The antifoams are silicone emulsions or non-silicone particulate dispersions. Harcros antifoams can meet food-grade requirements and be certified Kosher. We can also manufacture small production batches to suit a variety of needs, with OMRI-certified offerings available.

The result of high-purity synthesis with sugar complexes, calcium and sodium glucoheptonates has many industrial uses—including chelation for liquid fertilizers. This elevated level of performance is due to its efficiency in forming stable chelates with di- and trivalent metal ions in the pH range between 7 and 14, such as:

Hydrolytic stability, especially under high alkalinity, is noteworthy for being environmentally friendly, nonhazardous, and biodegradable.
