The Work Number®

Harcros partners with The Work Number®, an automated service that lets you share proof of your employment or income without waiting on a manual request. It’s available to our employees at no cost.

Lenders, landlords, and other verifiers know and trust The Work Number, so it keeps things simple whether you’re applying for a mortgage, signing a lease, or applying for a loan.

Common uses:

  • Mortgage and loan applications
  • Apartment and rental applications
  • Reference and background checks
  • Government assistance applications
  • Immigration documentation
  • Other situations that require proof of employment

What to know:

  • There is no charge to you or to Harcros employees for this service.
  • Your information is updated each payday.
  • It’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • If you worked for another employer that uses The Work Number, that history may appear alongside your Harcros record.
  • Verifiers must get your signed authorization before accessing income details.

How to share your employment information

If your verifier already uses The Work Number:
Give them your Social Security number and our employer code: 11739053. That’s all they need.

If your verifier doesn’t use The Work Number and needs proof of income:
You can create a Salary Key, a six-digit number that gives them one-time access to your income details and proof of employment.

  1. Sign in to The Work Number at www.theworknumber.com.
  2. Select Manage My Employment Data at the top of the page.
  3. Select Login.
  4. Select Register Now at the bottom of the Sign In Page.

Note: Employees must use their personal information during authentication (e.g., first and last name as displayed in payroll, date of birth, and home address).

For verifiers

To confirm employment or income for a Harcros employee, visit www.theworknumber.com or call our Verifier Solutions Support team at 1-800-367-5690 (Option 3). Please have the employee’s Social Security number and our employer code, 11739053, ready.

The Work Number is an instant online database and does not fulfill verification requests via email.
